Joanie Delgaco falls down to the D finals after placing 5th place in the semifinals C/D of women's single sculls with a registered 8:00:18 finish.

Leading the semis Jovana Arsic of Serbia with a 7:44:60 finish. Joining her in the C Finals are Slovenia's Nina Kostanjsek with 7:48:86 and Brazil's Beatriz Cardoso with 7:49:96.

Delgaco was able to start the race at third place but was unable to sustain her position before the 1000-meter mark.

Paraguay's Alejandra Alderete surged to first place in the halfway mark but succumbed to pressure as she fell to fourth place.

She will join Delgaco in the D finals along with Fatimah Mojallaltopraghghale of Iran.

The D finals will determine the placing of the finalists from rank 19 to 24 in the rowing competition.
